bald

well, i can't help but post after such a fun weekend! the weather was absolutely beautiful in boone, which was quite a change from the almost foot of snow we got last weekend. after a long long friday at work, i spent most of saturday catching up on sleep. i did get to hang out with two of my very best friends in the world saturday night though (shout out to little jew and stanky!)

sunday was equally enjoyable with summer like grilling out and sitting outside eating ice cream. jason'd whined the entire weekend about getting ice cream... i melted...hehe, and gave in. really though, it was one of those perfect sunny weekends (well... according to jason, almost perfect... if the wind is even close to blowing, he equates that to miserable weather). anyways, a great relaxing weekend, friends, sun, grilling out, ice cream, naps, a movie, and... some sort of drama. haha. this particular scenario
happened very late sunday night... probably should-have-been-in-bed-already sort of late.

see, jason cuts his hair and shaves his beard every other day or so for class, so sundays are the start of the week. it's quite an ordeal by no stretch of the word to cut the hairs on his little head... he has to prepare for it, set his stuff up, get in his own "man" bathroom. i'm typically not allowed anywhere near his shenanigans. so, i'm downstairs, gettin ready for the week, cleanin up... something. and i hear a huge thud. no cries for help, so i keep on goin. i go upstairs about 5 minutes later and discover what i would parallel to a hysterical middle school girl who just realized that when she holds her bangs down and cuts them to
the level she wants and then finds that when she lets go, they bounce up and are like 3 inches higher on her forehead, sticking straight out and there's NOTHING she could do about it... (...not that i know that from experience or anything.)

well... jason's quite hysterical... and i can't help but laughing hysterically. the loud noise i'd heard thud to the ground was his electric razor. it broke. and he kept using it, even though the blades no longer aligned at the same level a
cross the width of the razor... yet for some reason he kept using it. i found him halfway through cutting his hair. with streaks and splotches ALL over. we determined that he looked like a mangy dog... haha. after about 5 more minutes of (his) squeals of not knowing what to do... i first threatened that he had to continue one way or the other... his half cut head of hair was gross... but, we decided that the inevitable had to be done. he had to do what had never been done before... dun dun dun... go bald. yes... i know. this is not too shocking, or really that different than.. well, the 1/8th of an inch that was on his hair already. it somehow permitted 15 more minutes of whining and complaining though and 2 dulled razor blades, and plenty of shaving cream later, his head was as smooth as a baby's butt... for class the next day, we packed him some sun screen for his baldness and well, i think he'll survive. hehe.
